Hi Geekies

Featured Review:

Would you like a slab of bacon with eyes, that when you press it, says “I’m Bacon!” How about pizza cutters with the formula for “pi,” or stuffed animals that are STD’s. That’s right, stuffed animals that look like a STD under a microscope. How about a stress relieving ball, that looks exactly the same, with mononucleosis. It these, and pens that shock someone sound amusing to you, then you are a geek. I am, and in fact, am very proud of it. Having just ordered again from Thinkgeek, I am excited about having my Star Trek apparel delivered to my house. It comes in a brown box, and so none of my neighbors will know about my geek level, even though its pretty high. Anybody that wears a Domokun shirt, and is over thirty years old, fits so into that category, so there is no use in denying it anymore.

I have had so much fun just browsing this internet address, and am proud to support a business that’s located in my not so beloved Virginia. Yet the folks at http://www.Thinkgeek\.com are hilarious, and feel free to ask one of their “highly trained monkeys” a question about an order or a product. They have help that’s immediate if needed, furthering their geekdom to epic proportions, and their products speak for themselves. Each item I’ve ordered, whether a shirt or gadget, or bacon, has been of high quality. The pricing on some can be a bit much, but perhaps geeks make more per capita, and this company feels they can charge more for their goods and services. Their site is certainly “geek friendly”, as you can browse by category, price, or suggested items.

Most of their suggested items are hilarious. Whomever is in charge of this department, “high five!” This is how I actually found out about the talking bacon, and a few other items, and the checkout process is simple. Add each item by quantity to your cart, and submit your payment via a credit card. If you want, you can just sign in by guest, and get through all of the annoying email prompts that some Internet sites are known for. Thank you for that alone, and for the secure checkout of course. Each item I have ordered has been to my house within 3-5 days, although their shipping is a bit much as well. I do not like having to pay a minimum of $7, but sometimes they do have promotions. That is great when they occur, but it irritates you when you order, and these are not applicable.

Each product ordered has done as promised. There has been no damage during the production or shipping process. So on that note, I will give this strange, geeky place high marks. Their products are unique, and I have yet to see any of their products anywhere else. These folks are true geeks, and on the geek-o-meter they certainly deliver. Yet, I do wish some of their prices would drop, including their shipping. I do recommend them for unique and perhaps impractical stuff, although that would only be for non-geeks. With each order you do get a catalog that displays some of their newer products, and I will continue to do business with them. They do have the “geek market” cornered, and its such fun to find some of their odd products, because they are exactly what I am looking for. The other shirts I have ordered have been of high quality, so I cannot wait until I get my Captain Kirk Star Trek shirt sometime this week.
